The Goethe-Institut Hongkong opened its doors in 1963 as the official German cultural institute in Hong Kong. This year, the Institut celebrates its 60 years of cultural exchange and collaboration between Germany and Hong Kong. To mark this important milestone, we have, together with our long-term supportive partners, prepared a full range of cultural programmes for the general public.

The Goethe-Institut is located on the 13th and 14th floors of the Hong Kong Arts Centre, with its own Goethe-Gallery, Black Box Studio, library, and seven classrooms each named after a city in Germany. As a globally active cultural institution of the Federal Republic of Germany, we build networks between Germany, Europe and the world to connect, create and inspire.
