Festival Alur Bunyi features a full day of performances by a number of Indonesian musicians. Coming into its third year, it was certainly a challenge to continually offer a new experience to the audience.

The Festival’s core spirit remains intact: to be a space for local musicians and artists to converse with each other whilst providing a space as a catalyst for collaboration. Embracing the rich diversity of the local music scene, the festival puts various music genres onto one day event. From fusing electronic music with jazz, classical and ballads, to disco, the festival creates an eclectic soundscape that resonates with a diverse range of music lovers and visitors.

The first time I heard of Alur Bunyi Festival, I immediately sensed that it was going to become the theme park for musicians and artists who sought to showcase their arts beyond their usual tendencies. Through its organizer, the Festival was able to provide the space that inspired new ideas and cross-genre collaborations. This gave performers the license to experiment and push boundaries and being their authentic selves on the Festival’s stage. It was that quality which made Alur Bunyi Festival one-of-a-kind.

Monita Tahalea and Bayu Risa

When the infectious grooves of Bayu Risa's disco and electro-pop meet the sentimental melodies of Monita Tahalea's pop-folktronic, a unique musical journey begins. They formed “Sentimental Pulse” an atmosphere that is both electrifying and deeply emotional, seamlessly integrating modular synths and organic sounds to craft an alternative soundscape that resonates with the soul. With Agung Munthe, Lie Indra Perkasa, and Ramandha Satya, the result is an immersive experience that invites listeners to dance with abandon while feeling the heartfelt stories behind each note.

Bank

Bank is a pop music studio ensemble, informally started as early morning studio sessions by members, this aging group of veteran electronic musicians and producers is a direct byproduct of post-club culture maturity.

Lidya Evania Lukito

is an Indonesian violinist who completed her master’s degree (cum laude) at Rostov State Conservatory, under the guidance of Vladimir Filatov and the late Prof. Evgeniya Gorbenko. Previously, Lidya completed her Bachelor studies magna cum laude at Pelita Harapan University under the guidance of the late Dr. Tomislav Dimov. During her studies, Lidya has received awards both domestically and abroad from Singapore and Australia.

Yosephine Madju

started studying piano at the age of 8 with Rita Halim, and then continued with Henoch Kristanto at the age of 16. In 2010, she continued her higher education in music at Pelita Harapan University under the guidance of Levi Gunardi and Iswargia Sudarno. Yosephine was awarded the Yamaha Music Scholarship Asia 2013, first place winner of the JCOM-Boston National Piano Competition 2015 (Best Indonesian New Work Performance Award), and Honorable Mention at the Chiang Mai Ginastera International Music Festival.

Victoria

Started studying flute at the age of 10 (2003) under the guidance of the late Agus Eka at Perguruan Cikini for 6 months, then joined her first orchestra in 2004 with the Cikini Symphony Orchestra and got the opportunity to be part of the Jakarta Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dwiki Dharmawan in 2006. Victoria also had masterclasses with Theis Roorda, Leon Berendse and Krzysztof Kaczka.

Indra Perkasa

has started his musical journey since middle school at the age of 12, when he joined the Mandarava Corps Marching Band as a baritone horn player and he has never left music since then. He started his music studies at Institut Musik Daya Indonesia (IMDI) in 2001 and graduated in 2006 majoring in double bass. Having found his roots in jazz music, he has been the bass player of Tomorrow People Bass Ensemble since its founding in 2005.

Rupa Suara

Rupa Suara workshop was held in December last year at GoetheHaus Jakarta, bringing together eight musicians/artists with an interest in immersive audio practices and multimedia composition, co-initiated by Indra Perkasa and Firzi O. The results of the workshop will be showcased in Festival Alur Bunyi 2024.

Diskoria Live Set

is a live electronic interpretation of classic Indonesian pop hits; a format that have never been played by Diskoria before. Taking influences from electronic pioneers such as Kraftwerk (Germany) and Yellow Magic Orchestra (Japan), these tracks will be performed live using mostly analog instruments from that era. On this format Diskoria will perform with the help of Pandji Dharma and Rayi Atmadja from Merak band

Lomba Sihir

Lomba Sihir was founded in 2019, consists of some of the brightest names in the Jakarta music scene: hotshot drummer Enrico Octaviano, wunderkind keyboardist Tristan Juliano, firecracker vocalist Natasha Udu, and ace guitarist-vocalist Rayhan Noor. "Selamat Datang di Ujung Dunia", their debut album, received much critical acclaim upon its release. It is the band's ode to Jakarta and a collection of eclectic pop songs.

Tomorrow People Ensemble

Formed in the early 2000s, Tomorrow People Ensemble is a prominent contemporary jazz band influenced by genres outside the free-jazz equation such as electronic, afro-cuban, and reggae, among others. The band consists of talented Indonesian jazzist: Indra Perkasa on contra bass, Adra Karim on Rhodes, piano and hammond, Elfa Zulham on drums and Nikita Dompas on guitar.

Rimaldi, Sal and Attila

Daniel Rimaldi, Sal Priadi and Attila Syah are three Indonesian musicians with diverse backgrounds, ranging from alternative, pop to techno. They form a trio with the format of reciting surreal fictional tales while accompanied by electronic sounds.
