“Artist residencies are moments for self-realignment.” The Arbeitskreis deutscher internationaler Residenzprogramme (Working Group of German International Residency Programmes) offered insights into the diversity and significance of its programmes at HAU Hebbel am Ufer. 

What actually is an artist residency and what is it good for? Jean-Baptiste Joly, former director of Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, Germany, was was joined by three Indian artists in a discussion on the purpose and experience of residencies.
