Sibylle Lewitscharoff

(born 16.04.1954 in Stuttgart, died 13.05.2023), author

Sibylle Lewitscharoff studied religion in Berlin, Buenos Aires and Paris. After her studies she worked as an accountant in an advertising agency and wrote radio features and radio plays. In 1994 she published the prose volume "36 Gerechte” and four years later the novel "Pong", for which she was awarded the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize. In 2013 she was awarded the Georg Büchner Prize. Sybille Lewitscharoff lived in Berlin.
