Ulrich Peltzer

(born 09.12.1956 in Krefeld), author.
 
After studying psychology and philosophy in Berlin, Ulrich Peltzer worked at the Institute for Forensic Psychiatry. His first novel Die Sünden der Faulheit was published in 1987, followed by other novels such as Teil der Lösung (2007) and Das bist du (2021). With Bryant Park (2002), Peltzer has also written short stories. He is the recipient of several awards such as the Anna Seghers Prize (1997), the Berlin Literature Prize for his complete works (2008), the Heinrich Böll Prize (2011) and the Kranichstein Literature Prize, especially for Das bessere Leben (2016). Ulrich Peltzer lives in Berlin.
