Science Slam 2.0

the fun science competition

Who: German Learners from classes 9-11

As part of our ongoing international project JuniorUni we invited students from classes 9-11 to a Science Slam competition. 

What is JuniorUni? 

The German Digital JuniorUni is a free online learning platform for young people. It empowers students to find answers to the most exciting questions from the fields of robotics, space, energy, sustainability, nature, and technology—all while learning the German language.
 

What is a Science-Slam? 

A Science Slam is a tournament for scientific / technical topics that are presented in a fun and interactive manner within the stipulated time. Apart from the scientific content, the entertainment value and presentation´s quality remains in focus. Very important: People are allowed to laugh; it should be fun for both the participants and the audience.

Suggested Topics: Robotics, Space Travel, Energy, Natural Sciences, AI, Sustainability & more. 

Over 60 schools registered with their teams and in the final on 18.07.2024, 9 teams presented their Science Slam in front of the jury at the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi. We are happy about the great response to this project and will organize a Science Slam again next year.

The winners
Bhal Bharati Public School, Pitampura

The three students from Bal Bharati Public School in Pitampura convinced the jury the most. With a great acting performance and a lot of interaction, they presented the topic “Knot Theory” in an amusing and innovative way. We congratulate the team on this great achievement!
