The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan New Delhi, in collaboration with Education Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, organized the annual German festival "Namaste Deutschland" for all German learners from Delhi NCR.
Namaste Deutschland is our annual festival to celebrate the German language and culture. A colourful programme of exhibitions, workshops, competitions, info sessions, film screenings and much more is dedicated to a specific theme each year. The festival is aimed at all German learners at our partner schools.
This year the theme was: Sports & Culture. Germans and Indians are passionate about sports. There is no question about that - and not only football & cricket. There's also basketball, gymnastics, hiking, badminton, tennis and much more. Sports are a very important part of our culture and part of our everyday life. So this year in the framework of Namaste Deutschland Sports were the medium - to collaborate, to get to know each other and the German culture better.
The festival was aimed at all German learners and teachers at our partner schools. A maximum of 30 students per school was able to register.
Sport Competitions
Football, table tennis, badminton, tennis and basketball. The sport-loving students can compete in these 5 sports. From the preliminary round to the final - these competitions were not only about talent, but also about fairplay and fun.
Language Games
26 selected schools presented self-developed language games and challenged all students to ponder and have fun.WORKSHOPS
In various workshops, students worked on different topics interactively and had fun together. Whether Zumba, German Dance, Upcycling or Poetry - there was something exciting for everyone.COMPETITIONS
The German learners eagerly competed in various competitions and show their talent. General knowledge was tested in the Germany quiz, spelling was required in the Spell Bee. A relay race with twist also promised a lot of fun.Other Attractions
