Regional Youth-Camp 2024

For German Learners from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

From 23.09-27.09.2024 we are organizing a regional youth camp for German learners from South Asia in Sri Lanka.

WHAT IS THE THEME OF THE CAMP?

The camp is part of our ongoing international project Dreamland Deutschland? which deals with the experiences of people who come to Germany as newcomers. During the camp we also want to focus on such stories and turn them into graphic novels. We will also get to know various cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland through play.

WHERE DOES THE YOUTH CAMP TAKE PLACE?

The youth camp will take place in Negombo, Sri Lanka. Negombo is a town on the west coast of Sri Lanka, about 37 kilometers north of the capital Colombo. The city is known for its lively fish market, beautiful sandy beaches and the historic Dutch fortress. Negombo also offers numerous opportunities for water sports and boat trips in the neighboring lagoons and canals.

WHO CAN TAKE PART?

The camp is aimed at German learners from South Asia between the ages of 14 and 16. Registration is by invitation only.

HOW IS PARTICIPATION FINANCED?

Participants only have to cover their own flight costs. All other costs are covered by the Goethe-Institut.
