Germany is country focus at the Nitte International Film Festival, an annual event organised by students of the Nitte Institute of Communication, an affiliated college of Nitte Deemed-to-be-University. You can watch 13 top contemporary German films at this year's Festival.

The first-ever Nitte International Film Festival was held in Mangaluru in April 2017. Coastal Karnataka has a rich literary and cultural tradition and has made a name for itself as vibrant, multilingual and multicultural. The Nitte International Film Festival (NIFF) aims to bring award-winning and critically acclaimed cinema from across the world to Mangaluru. And to cultivate an audience that appreciates and encourages good cinema, in coastal Karnataka. Apart from the free screenings, workshops and interactive sessions on script writing, screenplay and film criticism will be conducted by award-winning directors, writers and actors from across the country.
