The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany's cultural institute, active worldwide. It promotes the knowledge of the German language abroad and fosters international cultural cooperation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and supporting the development, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of BKD / PASCH projects (e.g., presentations, newsletters, online content) in close collaboration with the Educational Cooperation Delegate.
- Supporting the organizational execution of scholarship programs.
- Assisting in the organization, execution, and documentation of youth camps, conferences, training sessions, trips, and cultural or regional events within and outside Kolkata (East and Northeast India).
- Maintaining and managing the PASCH school network and corresponding databases.
- Supporting financial management, including preliminary bookings and contributions to planning and reporting tasks.
- Collaborating with the project management team and other administrative officers, particularly in planning and monitoring.
- Managing addresses, statistical data, and archiving for BKD / PASCH.
- Participating in BKD / PASCH events and activities in the public education sector.
- Conducting research, reporting, and data management.
- Attending team meetings.
- Assisting with content creation for social media and websites.
- General office tasks and correspondence.
- Taking on additional tasks related to the above duties.
Requirements
- A completed university degree (Bachelor's) or equivalent qualifications.
- High flexibility, resilience, and team spirit.
- Proactive initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Efficient organizational skills and reliability.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and social media; willingness to learn new systems.
- Excellent command of English and at least one regional or national language.
- Good German language skills (minimum B2 level) are an advantage.
- Strong social and intercultural competence.
- Willingness to travel for work.
- Ability to quickly adapt to administrative and project management systems.
