Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata cordially invites you to the Book Presentation:
Bertolt Brecht and Hans Magnus Enzensberger in Bengali Translation
Prof. Chinmoy Guha will read excerpts from the books “হের কয়নারের গল্প”, (“Geschichten vom Herrn Keuner” by Bertolt Brecht) and “হানস মাগনুস এনৎসেনসবেরগারের নির্বাচিত কবিতা”, (Selected Poems: Hans Magnus Enzensberger), both translated from German into Bengali by Subroto Saha.
Prof. Guha will lead a conversation with the translator which will be followed by a discussion.
Subroto Saha, has been teaching German language at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata for several years. He has translated a number of German prose and poetry.
Prof. Chinmoy Guha, Professor of English at the University of Calcutta, Bengali essayist and translator and a scholar of French language and literature.
These books are published by Parampara Prakashan, supported by a grant from the Goethe-Institut India.
The programme will be conducted in Bengali language.
