Can I have a document translated at your institute?
The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan has no translation service. We can send a list with contact details of translators:Tel: + 91 11 2347 1125

If you require a certified translation of a document or certificate, the translation has to be done by a sworn translator in Germany. You can ask for contacts with the offices of the courts in Germany or search online.
Only as an exception in the case a certified German-English translation is required by an administration in India, the translation (also a self-made translation) can be certified by the German Embassy:
