Coding Module

Why should German and programming be learnt at the same time?

The Goethe-Institut responds to the early digital development in the MINT - field with this offer of innovative learning, alongside promoting the acquisition of the German language skill. Through the sustainable integrated language learning program, young people are perpared for the increasingly global job market or potential studies in Germany. With the learning program  "Coding & German", children and young people learn to use hardware such as the Calliope Mini minicomputer and take an initial step in learning the German language through the CLIL approach in a face-to-face format and at the same time receive basic computer science education.
