Day 3

The third and final day of the Seed Stories Symposium will offer a blend of education, art and environmental awareness, concluding the event with thought-provoking sessions and exhibitions.

The day will begin with a presentation by Sunil Bhide of the Deccan Education Society on the Fergusson College Botanical Garden. This presentation will explore the rich history and diverse plant species of the garden, highlighting its role in education and conservation.

Participants will then be treated to a poetry recital entitled 'Kavitetil Vanaspati', featuring works by Ketaki Ghate, Manasi Karandikar and others. The recital will celebrate the beauty and significance of plants through lyrical expression, bringing a poetic perspective to the relationship between man and nature.

The day will also include a mini-exhibition of wild seeds, organised by Oikos for Ecological Services. This exhibition will showcase a variety of wild seeds and emphasise the importance of preserving these species for the health of our ecosystems.

These sessions will provide a fitting conclusion to the symposium, leaving participants with a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of nature, culture and conservation.
