Two languages and 2000 kilometres separate their cultures. But this distance melts away in the face of
Bosque Magico's musical level. We are happy to host a concert featuring our partner and one of Bangalore's well-known musicians
Karthik Mani AND German guitarist
Ralf Siedhoff, along with
Mykyta Sierov.
Bosque Magico lineup:
Ralf Siedhoff (Germany): Guitar
Karthik Mani (India): Percussion
Mykyta Sierov (Ukraine): Oboe
The music of Bosque Magico, composed by Ralf Siedhoff, is inspired by flamenco, jazz, world and classical music. Mykyta Sierov's oboe, centred around melody and improvisation, appears atypical in this non-classical context. Improvisations in classical, Indian, Balkan and pop music-inspired compositions are novel for this instrument and open up a relatively unknown sound universe. The guitar voice, provided by Ralf Siedhoff, has orchestral elements with bass, harmony and rhythmic function. And the inclusion of the marvellous percussion by Karthik Mani adds a special piquancy.
Ralf Siedhoff was born in Weimar. After 1988 he specialised in acoustic guitar and started performing with the well-known Edwin Sadowski.
