Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata is hosting Repair Cafe since May 2022. The first Repair Café in Kolkata, open to all, takes place every month, in a community space where repair experts, staff, students, course participants and visitors come together to repair everyday items instead of throwing them away. In the process, ideas are shared, hobbies are expanded and motivate the culture of repairing thus supporting sustainability.

Items for repairs are: small electronic and electrical items, books, clothings, shoes, belts, bags, watches, wristwatches, umbrellas.

The Repair Cafe's main goal is to develop a culture of repairing everyday items instead of throwing them away and to propagate sustainability.

The dates for the Repair Cafe are 24.2,  23.3, 27.4, 25.5, 29.6, 27.7, 31.8, 28.9 & 30.11.2024.

Time: 15:00 - 19:00 hours

Location: Goethe-Institut Kolkata Library, 1st floor.
