In this hands-on workshop we will create zines that explore the many ways in which feminist future worlds are imagined by each one of us, from fantastic utopias to pragmatic political shifts, and as inspired by ongoing resistance movements. Through delving into different formats of image and word conjunction and those of zine making, we will draw, collage, cut and paste to bring together lived experiences with imagined realms, on the same page!
The workshop will move from free drawing exercises, to crafting characters and storyboarding, and finally creating zines, each representing our own versions of feminist futures.
Workshop Requirements:
- Age: 18+
- It is not necessary to have any prior drawing or art skills for this workshop,
- All materials will be provided.
