The “Masterclass Series” offers an extraordinary opportunity to receive instruction from some of Germany’s most renowned music professors. The masterclasses are aimed at music students and musicians from Asia who wish to elevate their playing to a new level.

The masterclasses are conceived and artistically directed by Jonathan Weigle, a classically trained cellist who has performed and taught extensively in Asia over the past decade. Jonathan Weigle has specifically designed this format for Bangkok, drawing on his experiences and his own training at a prestigious German conservatory. The courses aim to provide condensed, high-level international instruction. They equip young musicians with the knowledge and skills necessary for a diverse musical career and support them in becoming individual, independent musicians.

The masterclasses focus primarily on individual lessons. Additionally, participants are encouraged to observe the lessons of other students and to attend the closing concert performed by the professors at the Goethe-Institut Bangkok.

All classes will take place at the Goethe-Institut Bangkok.
