The goal of the Germany Festival is to visually convey and celebrate the joint achievements in the form of a folk festival with a colorful program. The focus is on the development cooperation between the two countries. Other German stakeholders, such as companies active in Vietnam and intermediary organizations like the Goethe-Institut and DAAD, will also have the opportunity to present themselves.
In this context, a pavilion will showcase German-Vietnamese development cooperation through multimedia. products include, for example, an app for determining the origin of wood, sustainably produced coffee, technologies for renewable energy, or bio-shrimp from the Mekong Delta.
Additionally, a supporting program with various elements is planned, including:
- Musical performances, panel discussions, and lectures on a stage.
- Stalls of German organizations presenting their work.
- An open-air exhibition with interactive elements about the history of German-Vietnamese development cooperation.
- The final round of the nationwide Germany Quiz (grand prize: a trip to Germany).
Interactive activities for young people and culinary offerings will complement the supporting program.
Furthermore, the German Career Truck will be part of the Germany Festival to provide information about career and educational pathways to Germany (see attachment).
The festival will begin with a joint high-level opening ceremony with the Vietnamese government, the city of Hanoi, the Hoan Kiem district, and special guests at Hoan Kiem Lake.
