Gender and LGBTQ*

Over generations, a multitude of different feminist and queer movements has developed worldwide - under changing auspices, in specific contexts, and with diverse themes. The Goethe-Institut fosters dialogue on gender, identity, and intersectionality, exploring how discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation intersects with other challenges.

How can art be a tool to explore and challenge gender norms? In what ways can artistic expression amplify queer voices and perspectives? How can creative practices foster deeper conversations about identity, inclusion, and equality across cultures? The Goethe-Institut invites both artists and audiences to engage with these issues through creative exploration, offering new and impactful ways to address gender and queer experiences.
