1. AN EASY-TO-USE GAME THAT GUIDES YOU THROUGH COPENHAGEN IN GERMAN.
Use the interactive app on mobile devices to discover German traces in downtown Copenhagen while practicing the German language.
2. AN ACTIVITY FOR STUDENTS OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM.
Integrate the game as a fun teaching tool to activate students outside the classroom to experience German culture. Students practice speaking as well as reading.
3. PLAY, LEARN AND WIN TOGETHER
Challenge your students, increase their concentration and comprehension skills. At the end of the game, the results are uploaded. This way, the experiences of the day can be shared at the end.
THE RALLY
The participants are guided through Copenhagen's city center during the rally and have to solve various tasks on their journey of discovering the German traces. The duration of the game is approximately 90-120 minutes.
STRUCTURE
The game is divided into four parts and each part starts at a new location in the city center. Each group picks a name at the beginning of the game and gets points for each correctly answered question. At the end of the game, the groups are led back to the Goethe-Institut, where the game begins. Finally, the groups are asked to upload their results. In this way, teachers can see all the points and, if necessary, choose a winning group.
HOW IT WORKS
One smartphone or tablet per group is needed. Each group downloads the Actionbound app. The app is available for free from the
App Store and
Google Play. Then each group scans the QR code or follows the link.
Actionbound Gymnasium
Actionbound Folkeskole
After that, the participants follow the instructions in the app.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
The rally is in German. For the Folkeskole you should be proficient in level A2. The version for high school contains a bit more texts and information, here the language level B1 is recommended.
