The German National Tourist Office has partnered with Canadian blogger Oneika the Traveller to explore Canadian links with Germany. Oneika is the perfect fit for the project: she’s married to a German, and has been curious about the ties between their home countries for quite some time.
In a multi-part video series, Oneika explores such questions as: which German city gave the province of New Brunswick its name; which German was the father of Canada’s wine industry; or how come we use German words like Kindergarten and Gesundheit? Findings are posted on the Germany Travel Facebook page as well as on their YouTube channel.
