Creative Compass Georgia empowers cultural and creative industries (CCIs) across regions in Georgia (outside Tbilisi) to enhance the socio-economic environment of the country.
The project provides diverse opportunities to stakeholders including financial support, capacity building, creative space development, networking and knowledge exchange.

What is Creative Compass Georgia?
Creative Compass supports the cultural and creative industries in Georgia (outside Tbilisi) and promotes both cultural life and economic activities. In cities and municipalities in Georgia cultural and creative industries’ role in the communities will be strengthen and expanded. Grant opportunities support municipalities identify and promote their creative resources such as cultural and industrial infrastructure, local creative businesses, and human capital. In close cooperation with Creative Compass Georgia, local platforms develop plans for an improved cultural infrastructure, which are then implemented. In addition, the project strengthens networks, mobility and capacities in different ways.

Cultural and creative industries (CCI) are extremely diverse. It includes numerous sectors whose common link is culture and creativity. These industries are based on individual skills, talents and creativity. They can contribute significantly to a country's development and job growth by promoting local culture, products, and services in international markets. The Georgian definition of CCI include the following 14 subsectors: architecture, design and fashion, visual arts, film and video, cultural heritage, media and broadcasting, literature and publishing, music, performing arts, advertising, art and cultural education, crafts, digital technologies, gastronomy and culinary industry.
First phase: Assessment and Identification
During its first phase, Creative Compass informed relevant stakeholders about its intentions as well as laying the groundwork for its future activities.
Second phase
The second phase emphasizes the continued establishment of local platforms by supporting the implementation of their plans, creating capacity building and networking opportunities, or by providing seed funding to creative businesses.
Third phase
The third phases focusses on drawing lessons learnt and on ensuring the sustainability of the different initiatives supported.
