Chkhorotsku

The physical mapping process for the municipality included both theoretical and practical aspects for two months. Experts, along with the educational component of the developed mapping methodology, mentored the municipality’s working group through each step of the process.

A detailed list of buildings and spaces was created. To collect information about these objects, research was conducted through inter-sectoral cooperation, fieldwork, and photofilming. The gathered data was then analyzed and recorded on a digital map, and the results were presented.

Physical Mapping Results

In Chkhorotsku Municipality, out of the 18 listed properties, 44% are cultural institutions, and 38% are administrative buildings. Retail, and industrial infrastructure each account for 6%, Educational facilities are 5%.

The usage of listed properties follows as 22% in active use, 34% partially utilized, and 44% are nonfunctional.

The structural condition of the mapped buildings is - 33% structurally stable, 33% have minor damage, and 34% are severely damaged.

The ownership of these properties is distributed as follows: 33% are privately owned, 34% are state-owned, 11% are municipally owned, and 22% are unregistered.

Notable buildings include The so-called former Kolkhoz building of Akhuti Community, the Cultural House of Akhuti Community, the club in Nafichkhovo Community, the former household building of Nafichkhov Community, the former Kolkhoz building of Mukhuri Community, the old outpatient clinic building of Mukhuri Community, the former Kolkhoz office of Letsurtsume Community, the old club of Lesichine Community, the old cinema in Chkhorotsku, and the Cultural House of Chkhorotsku.
