Khashuri
The physical mapping process for the municipality included both theoretical and practical aspects for two months. Experts, along with the educational component of the developed mapping methodology, mentored the municipality’s working group through each step of the process.
A detailed list of buildings and spaces was created. To collect information about these objects, research was conducted through inter-sectoral cooperation, fieldwork, and photofilming. The gathered data was then analyzed and recorded on a digital map, and the results were presented.

Physical Mapping Results
In Khashuri Municipality, 65% of the 23 listed facilities are cultural institutions, 14% are educational and research centers and 13% are transport infrastructure. Hospitality and other facilities, primarily medical, each account for 4%.
The usage of listed properties follows 59% of objects are operational, 14% are partially used, and 27% are non-functional.
The structural condition of the mapped buildings is - 50% structurally stable, 18% lightly damaged, 23% severely damaged, and 9% are rehabilitated.
The ownership of these properties is distributed as follows: 14% is private ownership, 9% is state ownership, and 77% is municipal ownership.
Outstanding buildings include the Open amphitheater, Culture House, Museum of Local Knowledge, Center of Creative Development, the first electric train in Transcaucasia, Puppet Theater, House of Culture of Kvishkheti, Surami Cinema Building, Railway station in Surami, and former traumatology building.
