Tskaltubo

The physical mapping process for the municipality included both theoretical and practical aspects for two months. Experts, along with the educational component of the developed mapping methodology, mentored the municipality’s working group through each step of the process.

A detailed list of buildings and spaces was created. To collect information about these objects, research was conducted through inter-sectoral cooperation, fieldwork, and photofilming. The gathered data was then analyzed and recorded on a digital map, and the results were presented.

Physical Mapping Results

In Tskaltubo municipality, 19% of the 154 listed objects are Retail infrastructure, 18% are industrial and production facilities and 17% are hospitality establishments. Various and mixed-use facilities are 14%, cultural facilities - 12%, and administrative buildings - 8%. Educational and research institutions comprise 7%, transport infrastructure 3%, and sports infrastructure 2%.

The usage of listed properties follows 3% of objects operational, 15% partially used, and 82% are non-functional.

The structural condition of the mapped buildings is - 25% structurally stable, 21% slightly damaged, and 54% severely damaged.

41% of these properties are municipally owned, 6% are privately owned, and 17% are state-owned.
