Project Support For Film Programmes
The Goethe-Institut is seeking a dedicated project support for film programmes (fixed term of one year with the option to extend) starting 20.01.2025.
The Goethe-Institut e.V. is the globally active cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany. We promote knowledge of the German language abroad and foster international cultural cooperation.
This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to cultural programming in New Delhi and throughout South Asia. As Project Support for Film Programmes you will support with the film selection, event coordination, partner communications, and budget tracking. You will be involved in large scale projects, especially the Science Film Festival - a celebration of science communication in South Asia. You will be working closely with the Goethe-Institut’s programme managers, reporting directly to the programme director.
Key Responsibilities:
- As Project Support for Film Programmes:
- Support with the selection of films and implementation of film programmes
- Support with the organization of events, workshops, network meetings, and digital activities for diverse target groups (e.g., students)
- Support with the coordination and communication with project partners across South Asia in the framework of the Science Film Festival
- Support with the coordination of administrative tasks, including reporting and documentation
- Assist with preparation of payment documents, contracts, and invoices
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., film studies, cultural management) or equivalent experience
- Experience working with partners and creative practitioners
- Proven project support experience with strong organizational skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (German language skills are an advantage)
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, content management systems)
- High-level communication skills and service orientation
- Ability to work in a team, under pressure, and with flexibility
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including occasional weekends and evenings
- Readiness to travel
