The Artist: Debasish Deb
Debasish Deb graduated in Applied Art from Kolkata’s Government Art College in 1979 and joined Ananda Bazar group as an illustrator. Over the last 40 years, he worked with various publications in India and abroad and has gained a reputation in the world of children’s literature. His pioneering book on filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s graphic work remains a best seller. He also travels widely making improvised sketches, several collections of which have been developed into books.
