Paul Affeld has a puppet-band background. Founder developer of the band “Puppetmastaz” since 15 years, Paul Affeld is involved with contemporary theatre for the past 8 years and has worked with the Volksbuehne and Parkaue in Berlin.
He is interested in a theatrical development between classical acting, puppetry and dance. In the work process the actors are expected to apply their improvisation skills and gained knowledge into developing a piece, which grows out of a given structure laid out by the director.
This way the piece development becomes an inner journey for the actors as well as the audience.
Paul’s new piece “somebody” is about individuality and society, crises and resurrection.
Apart from the theatre piece, Paul will also offer a puppet-building workshop in Bangalore.
