Call for Submissions

The Goethe-Institut Jordan is looking for creative professionals, educators, and content developers to create engaging and educational accompanying material for our newly developed children's book on physical disabilities. This book, written in Arabic and aimed at children between 5 and 10 years old, features five diverse stories focusing on children with physical disabilities, such as those who use wheelchairs.

We are seeking suggestions and materials that can help parents, kindergarten educators, teachers, and caregivers engage with the book in meaningful ways and support the understanding and inclusion of children with physical disabilities.

Scope of Work:

The accompanying material should be designed to foster a deeper connection to the stories and can include, but is not limited to:
- Reading and discussion suggestions for parents, teachers, and caregivers to use while reading the book with children.
- Creative activities and games that emphasize empathy, inclusion, and understanding of physical disabilities.
- Coloring pages or illustrations from the stories to engage younger readers.
- Interactive exercises that encourage reflection on themes like diversity, overcoming challenges, and supporting peers with disabilities.
- Classroom or group activities for kindergartens and primary schools to work with children on related topics in a fun and accessible way.

The material should be child-friendly, engaging, and adaptable to various settings (home, school, or kindergarten) and include suggestions for different age groups within the 5–10 range.

Requirements:

- Experience in developing educational or creative content for children.
- Familiarity with working on themes of diversity, inclusion, or physical disabilities.
- Ability to create interactive and practical materials that are easy for teachers, parents, and caregivers to implement.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates are invited to submit:
1. A brief proposal outlining their ideas for the accompanying material.
2. Examples of previous work in educational material, creative content, or child-focused activities.
3. A timeline for developing the material.
