"Family" is a concept that is becoming more and more colorful, diverse and inconsistent in today's world. In this teaching material, the family is to be examined and got to know in its different facets. The introduction and the vocabulary work "Family" are suitable for everyone
Language levels. For weaker groups, a dictionary should be allowed to be used. The task Everyday Activities is suitable for grades 7-9 as well as for grades 10-12 (as a repetition task). Everyday vocabulary is first explained with pictures, then consolidated as a search donkey and finally practiced orally. It makes sense to allow dictionaries and to make a small presentation round after the class interview. During the class interview, it makes sense to be available for questions. Interpreting a statistic is practiced in the task "Families in Germany". Vocabulary is pre-relieved and structures for the interpretation of statistics are specified. Matching the statistics is the video clip "Mother, Mother, Child". If the questions are well anticipated, this task can also be performed in grades 7-9. The topic of multi-generational house is particularly suitable for grades 10-12, because the reading text is relatively long, and despite vocabulary relief a challenge. The reading text "Blind Parents, Sighted Children" is also intended for grades 10-12.
