Florian Wacker and June Caldwell
On 20 April 2017, Germany@Home presented German writer Florian Wacker with his short story collection Albuquerque and Irish writer June Caldwell.
Florian Wacker was born in Stuttgart in 1980 and studied orthopaedagogy before attending the Deutsches Literaturinstitut in Leipzig. He has worked as a carer for young people and people with disabilities as well as in child and adolescent psychiatry. His debut short story collection Albuquerque was published by mairisch Verlag. He lives in Frankfurt am Main with his family.
June Caldwell is a journalist, award-winning blogger & fiction writer. Her story SOMAT is published in The Long Gaze Back – An Anthology of Irish Women Writers edited by Sinéad Gleeson/New Island. She’s a prizewinner of The Moth International Short Story Prize. Her first collection of short stories was published by New Island in May 2017.
