Kids' Films at the Goethe-Institut in Dublin
We will have showings of kids' movies at the Goethe-Institut Irland up to three times per term. The recommend for the movies will alternate from 0-7 and 7-12 years. The showings will take place on saturdays after the Kids' Courses, between 1.15 and 2.15 pm.
The film in October will be
Zu weit weg (92 Min, 2019). Directed by Sarah Winkenstette, starring Yoran Leicher, Sobhi Awad, and Anna König.
A friendship born out of losing your home due to man-made circumstances: the village in which 11-year-old Ben lives with his family has to make way for open-cast lignite mining. After moving to the city, he meets Tariq, the same age as him, whose family has fled Syria. The experience of a new beginning soon brings the two initial competitors together at school and on the football pitch.
