We are pleased to announce the inaugural collaboration between the Museum of Art and Photography (MAP) and the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore! We will present an Exhibition: India Tecton by German photographer Nicolaus Schmidt and an exclusive Workshop on Photographic Concepts and Design Tools with the artist.
The workshop begins with a guided tour of the Exhibition at the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan. The participants have the opportunity to ask the artist about his working methods.
In the practical part of the course, participants first learn about the wide range of photographic concepts and working methods. Starting with the five most important photographic design tools, the participants will try out their practical implementation and effect in photographic practice. In small groups, self-imposed goals are implemented in photographic practice in the neighborhood of the MAP. The photographic results will be discussed in the course. On the last day, selected images will be printed, showcased as a small exhibition and discussed.
