Application Guidelines

The Goethe-Institut is the globally active cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany. It promotes knowledge of the German language abroad and fosters international cultural co-operation, and understanding between Germany, Europe, and the world.

It is against this background that we are launching an open call for Mobilities, giving Jordanian cultural practitioners an opportunity to travel in Germany for professional purposes at their own discretion, and thereby engaging in meaningful and mutually beneficial dialogue and collaboration with their German counterparts.

What is a Mobility Grant?

The Mobility Grant is your chance to get funding for a skill-building trip to Germany. You can get up to EUR 5,000 to visit a conference, present a project, meet German colleagues, or participate in an internship, or in a residency programme. As long as the journey will advance your career, we can cover most of the expenses: travel, accommodation, food, visa, medical insurance, and registration fees.

To receive a grant, you must be a cultural practitioner (artist, cultural manager, and/or creative entrepreneurs)

What are the peculiarities of mobilities we support?

Travel to Germany. You can visit teammates in Germany; this trip for valuable ideas and creating ties with German colleagues.
Travel on your own. Colleagues cannot join you, but you can always share the brightest discoveries upon return.
Travel according to your own itinerary. Mobility Grants are all about you. You design the journey from A to Z for it to address your professional needs.

What can be the purpose of the mobility?

You can travel to Germany to:
  • Present your work
  • Do research
