SUPPORT WANTED FOR OUR CULTURAL PROGRAM DEPARTMENT!

Goethe-Institut Myanmar is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented intern to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is essential to assisting the smooth execution of our cultural programs and supporting the program team in a particular annual project. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule online and in-person meetings.
  • Scheduling diary for venue/ auditorium management assistance.
  • Prepare necessary materials, supplies, and stationery for all programs.
  • Ensure clear communication within the working team and with relevant departments of the institute.
  • Arrange transportation and tickets (flight, bus, office car, and taxi) for program activities.
  • Book accommodations for guests and partners.
  • Assist in planning and organizing events to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Provide general administrative support to the project team as needed.
  • Support in communications.

Requirements:

  • Strong passion for cultural activities and community engagement.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required and German is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills, efficiency, reliability, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Effective communication within the team and with external partners.
  • Previous experience in scheduling, logistics, or project administration or assisting project teams is preferred.
  • Comfortable using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook, and willingness to learn new technologies).
  • Ability to handle unexpected issues and troubleshoot in real-time.
  • Willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork and ability to work well within a diverse team.
  • Flexibility and can be able to work on weekends.

Position Details:

Type: Full-time position (40 hours per week)
Duration: 01.12.2024 – 31.05.2025 (6 months, with a possibility of extension based on interest and performance.)
