I wish the Goethe Institut-Irland an excellent 60th anniversary.
Over the past two years and despite the pandemic, our ties have remained strong. We have worked on some wonderful events together, such as our collaboration on the Waterford Walls festival, a fantastic initiative to promote the inclusion of women in urban art, and the digital Fête de la Musique, which introduced us to 4 female DJs from Ireland, Germany, France and Côte d’Ivoire. The Franco-German partnership is a strong driving force for culture and multilingualism. After two years of intense commitment, the French Embassy is pleased to hand over the presidency of EUNIC-Ireland to the Goethe-Institut. This 60th  anniversary is an excellent opportunity to strengthen our connections in Ireland but also with all other European partners.
