Description

In the beginning the learners think about why and what food we eat. They write an individual meal plan and explore the origins of food. In a first experiment the editorial gives them an opportunity to explore different flavors. The subject geography is about specialties from all around the world. The students learn about the five categories food can be classified by and which grains, fruit and vegetables grow in which part of the world. They also explore the distances food has to travel on their journey around the globe. The chemistry-part is about nutrients and supplements. In two experiments the learners find out to what amounts proteins and fat are contained in different food products. The subject biology is about healthy diets and energy the body needs. The learners explore the food pyramid and write a food diary. Afterwards the tech-part shows how plant energy is used. The learners become active during the experiment by extracting gasses from plants.
